Welcome to the Midwives Association of Florida
The Midwives Association of Florida (MAF) represents a growing network of midwives in Florida. Our members support the belief that out-of-hospital births attended by trained midwives are an essential option for healthy, low risk women and their families. We support the rights of parents to make informed decisions about their birth location and attendant. MAF supports advances in the profession of midwifery in Florida to enhance quality of midwifery care and build better community access to the Midwifery Model of Care by educating consumers, and other health care providers. Our goal is a strong midwifery community supporting families in Florida.
