Rule Revision Suggestion
To: All Florida Licensed Midwives
We are currently looking for Suggestions for 64B24 Rule Revision. The Council of Midwifery has asked for all LM’s to give input for suggestions of rules that need revision, or language clean up. The next few meetings will focus on list compiling to submit to the Office of Fiscal Accountability and Regulation. Rick Scott’s newest Executive Order has made it clear that rule reviews must be completed on each and every board, council and agency. We are only looking at LM rule at the moment and will turn our focus to Birth Center Rules when appropriate. Rule revisions now have to be submitted for the year by July 1st, and approval must be sought to continue with the rule revisions listed. If a Rule Revision is not on the list it will have to wait until the next cycle the next next. It would be in the best interest of the midwives to review current rules and suggest changes now. MAF has created this form for all rule revision submission. PLEASE ONLY USE THIS FORM FOR SUGGESTIONS. This will ensure your suggestion is addressed and that MAF will have a comprehensive list to give to the council for discussion.
